NXT has become a phenomenon in the world of professional wrestling over the last few years. What started out as WWE’s developmental brand has flourished and become a strong third brand for the company.

The NXT brand has expanded its reach with live events and Takeover specials over the past few years, but the majority of the TV tapings have taken place at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. However, the company recently announced that the brand will be holding TV tapings at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, on Thursday, Jan. 4, Thursday, Feb. 1, and Friday, Feb. 2, 2018.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that one of the reasons the NXT tapings are taking place in Atlanta is because it’s becoming harder and harder to get heat at Full Sail University.
Center Stage will allow the brand to have a bigger audience of 700 instead of 400, and the feeling is that it will be a fresher audience as well.
The only negative regarding the tapings in Atlanta is that everyone is based in Orlando, and the college students at Full Sail work the tapings for experience which cuts the cost of production.
