This week on Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet and Robert Roode faced off in a Fatal 5 Way match to determine the number one contender for Seth Rollins’ Universal Championship.
Shinsuke Nakamura eliminated Ricochet, AJ Styles eliminated Shinsuke Nakamura, then Roode eliminated Styles to bring it down to Roode and Mysterio.
Mysterio hit Roode with the 619 then followed up with a splash for the win.
Rey Mysterio will now go on to challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship next week on the season premiere episode of Raw.
