WWE recently removed two inactive names from the roster on their official website as Titus O’Neil and Robert Roode were both moved to the alumni section. At this point in time it’s not clear if their status with the company has changed, or if WWE is simply cleaning up their roster page.
Robert Roode has not wrestled since June of 2022 when he faced off against Omos at a WWE live event. In September of 2022 it was reported that he underwent C5-C6 neck fusion surgery, and later underwent C4-C5 cervical fusion in May of 2023. A few months later he transitioned into a backstage role when he started working as a producer.
Roode confirmed that he was cleared to return to the ring in 2024, but indicated that he was happy with his producer role when he said, “Ironically enough, I just got green-lighted. The fusion has completely fused. So as far as like, looking at it from a medical point of view, it’s safe to get back in the ring, I guess. But at almost 48 years old, given the opportunity that I’ve been given now to work as a producer, which was my goal coming to WWE almost eight years ago, I’m quite happy doing this. And I feel like I’ve had a good run, as they say, and I’m happy to do what I’m doing now.”
Titus O’Neil last stepped into the ring in November of 2020 when he faced off against Bobby Lashley on Raw. He has since been working for the company as an ambassador, but noted back in 2025 that he would be open to returning to the ring if WWE wanted him to.
