Last summer Triple H took over WWE creative and since then he’s been making some changes to the product. One thing that some fans have complained about over the last few years is premium live events being too long with too many matches, but it looks like The Game has been making an effort to change that perception.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that under Triple H the plan has been to book less matches on bigger shows. The idea is that shorter shows give the key matches more time and don’t burn out the audience.
“Under Paul Levesque, they have kept the number of matches at the biggest shows lower, to have shorter shows and also to give more time and focus to the key bouts without turning out the audience.”
Even though no matches have been officially confirmed for WWE SummerSlam just yet it seems that the company has the card mostly planned out already. Although it was recently reported that there’s a lot of competition to get on the show and you can read more about that here.
