WrestleMania 40 changed the landscape of WWE in a big way as several new champions were crowned. During the ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles the belts were split when A-Town Down Under grabbed the SmackDown Tag Team Championship while Awesome Truth grabbed the Raw Tag Team Championship.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Triple H presented Awesome Truth with the new WWE World Tag Team Championship belts before removing the Raw Tag Team Titles from the ring then bringing them backstage.

Nick Aldis welcomed Triple H to the ring this week and The Game welcomed the fans to SmackDown. Triple H then asked Nick Aldis to introduce the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Austin Theory & Grayson Waller.

Triple H told A-Town Down Under that from now on they will be known as the WWE Tag Team Champions then revealed the new belts. The Game went to shake their hands, but they refused the handshake and laughed at him. Nick Aldis then threatened to get physical with A-Town Down Under if they ever disrespect Triple H again. Aldis then took the SmackDown Tag Team Title belts away from Waller & Theory and announced a fatal four way match to decide the new number one contenders for the belts.

The Street Profits, New Catch Republic, Legado Del Fantasma and AOP all made their way to the ring for the fatal four way.
