Last year Triple H took over WWE creative and in the months that followed the company went on a bit of a signing spree. However, the signings seem to have slowed down drastically as of late.

Fightful Select reports that several talent have claimed there’s a hiring freeze in WWE and it’s been speculated that Vince McMahon’s return as well as the WWE sale could be the possible reasons for the freeze. It was noted that no one who has spoken on the subject has been told officially that there’s a hiring freeze, but it’s a term that has constantly emerged.

Previously Fightful had reported that WWE was interested in Tama Tonga, Brian Cage, Switchblade Jay White and Authors of Pain. AOP were in talks with WWE in 2022 before Vince McMahon returned, and Brian Cage reportedly has some well respected supporters in the company.

Triple H is also said to be high former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis, but Aldis is another name that got left in the cold when hires were put on hold following Vince McMahon’s return.

Recently it was announced that Jay White is All Elite and it’s being said that communication was an issue that kept WWE from landing White. Multiple talent were told that due to the impending sale it was hard to make things happen, and there were multiple talent signed in 2022 that haven’t even been used yet.

There have been several talent that were on WWE’s radar who have had no contact with the company after WWE showed interest. Stay tuned for updates.
