Over the past few years Triple H has spent most of his time working backstage for WWE, but he does lace up his boots for big matches when the occasion calls for it. However, Triple H has been pretty active in the ring as late. He recently returned to action at a WWE live event in Chile, and he also wrestled on WWE’s European tour.
Now it looks like Triple H will be returning to the ring once again in December, and he’s set to face a former WWE Champion.
The Raw roster will be traveling to India next month, and they’ll be bringing Jinder Mahal along with them. Triple H recently posted a video on Twitter saying that while he was doing promotional work for WWE in Mumbai, everyone kept asking him if he would be wrestling in India.
He then encouraged fans to speak up if they want to see him wrestle, but noted that he won’t return to the ring to face just anybody, he wants to face The Modern Day Maharaja on New Delhi on December 9, in what he’s calling “the biggest match in India’s history.”

Jinder Mahal responded by saying that he’s honored, and he accepts the challenge.
.@TripleH not only the biggest match in Indian History, but also of my career. Consider the challenge accepted by me, now @wweindia and #wweuniverse India let‘s all make this happen. pic.twitter.com/6Wv62HnWFg

Mahal was originally being advertised to defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in India, but due to the fact that Mahal dropped the title to AJ Styles last week on SmackDown Live plans had to be changed.
