During today’s NXT conference call Triple H confirmed that Samoa Joe has indeed been to the WWE Performance Center. Triple H also confirmed that he talked with Joe for about 5 minutes and also said that he’s a fan of Joe’s work.
This sounds similar to the comments that Joe made recently saying that he has talked to people in WWE but that the talks were “informal.” Triple H went on to say that he wasn’t sure if the two sides would end up working together.
Reports surfaced yesterday that Samoa Joe is still actively accepting indie bookings for this summer which would be an indication that he truly has not signed a contract with WWE.
The rumor going around for the past week is that Joe would make his debut at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable but one way or another, that rumor will be put to rest tomorrow.
