Night of Champions kicked off with Oba Femi winning the King of the Ring and Oba’s big moment was followed up by Iyo Sky defeating Liv Morgan to win the Queen of the Ring tournament. Seth Rollins then defeated Bron Breakker in a steel cage match and the showed moved on to the first title match of the night.
Trick Williams put his WWE United States Championship on the line when he defended the belt against Ricky Saints, and Lil Yachty accompanied Trick to the ring.
At one point during the match Ricky Saints hit the steel ring steps with a kendo stick then fell the floor as he threw the kendo stick to Lil Yachty. The referee turned around to see what made the noise and kicked Lil Yachty out of the ringside area after he saw Yachty holding the kendo stick.
Ultimately Trick Williams retained the title when he put Ricky Saints away with the Trick Shot. After the match Trick was celebrating with the title when Ricky got back in the ring. Lil Yachty then made the save when he hit Ricky Saints with a kendo stick.
Lil Yachty followed up with a People’s Elbow on Ricky Saints then left with the champion.
