Elimination Chamber aired live from Toronto on Saturday and the show gave fans plenty to talk about. The rivalry between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn continued as the two stars faced off in an unsanctioned match. Throughout the match Zayn and Owens pushed each other to the limit, and it was KO who ultimately picked up the victory.
During Monday Night Raw this week Michael Cole shared an update on Sami Zayn’s condition and he noted that Sami Zayn reaggravated his neck issues, and nerve issues during the unsanctioned match. Cole then announced that Sami Zayn will be out of action indefinitely.
Kevin Owens has been on a rampage in recent months as he’s taken out Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn with the package piledriver. Following their unsanctioned match it appeared that Kevin Owens was getting ready to deliver another package piledriver to Sami Zayn on the floor, but KO was interrupted by Randy Orton.
The Viper had been out of action for months due to Owens hitting him with the package piledriver on the November 8, 2024 episode of SmackDown. Orton managed to get some revenge on Owens at Elimination Chamber, but it’s probably safe to say that their rivalry is far from over.
