WrestleMania 41 is quickly approaching and the card has been coming together in recent weeks. Elimination Chamber was the last premium live event before the Show of Shows, and Kevin Owens picked up a big win when he defeated Sami Zayn in an unsanctioned match.
On the following episode of Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole announced that Sami Zayn will be out of action indefinitely due to neck issues, nerve issues and spinal issues caused by Kevin Owens during their match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that with Sami Zayn being out of action indefinitely it appears that he won’t be wrestling at WrestleMania this year, but it’s possible that he could be involved with the finish. Sami Zayn is not hurt as the injury is just an angle, so he could potentially return at any time.
After Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn, Randy Orton made his return and took Owens out with the RKO. It’s being reported that the idea was to use Sami vs. Kevin to set up Randy vs. Kevin for WrestleMania 41.
Stay tuned for more updates on the WrestleMania 41 card as they become available.
