At WrestleMania 39 a dream team came together when Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch & Lita faced off against Damage CTRL on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Stratus, Lynch & Lita picked up the win and Bayley got people talking after WrestleMania when she posted the following tweet:

Bayley’s status ended up becoming even more of a topic the next night due to her absence from Monday Night Raw. Fightful Select reported that originally two triple threat matches were set to take place on Raw that would act as a tournament to decide who would be the person to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship. However, those matches were nixed and instead Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan faced off against Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky in a match to determine who would be getting the next shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Ultimately Rodriguez & Morgan picked up the win, Bayley did not accompany her Damage CTRL teammates to the ring.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Bayley was told not to go out with Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky. It’s not official, but there was a belief that Damage CTRL was being broken up.
It was noted that Sky & Kai basically looked like enhancement talent in the tag team match, and that Kai was a wrestler who Vince McMahon had no interest in bringing to the main roster before he fired her. Iyo Sky was in a similar situation where she had been in developmental for three years with no sign of WWE calling her up.
There’s currently no word on what the future holds for Bayley, Dakota Kai or Iyo Sky, but one way or another it will be interesting to see where things go from here. Stay tuned for updates.
