When you’re a WWE Superstar the grind of constant travel isn’t the only thing that can take a toll on your body. After all, your job is to take bumps in the ring in order to entertain an audience who paid to watch you perform. Few understand the perils and constant stress of damaging your body in the ring like Jeff Hardy.
It appears Jeff Hardy might have taken more damage than his body could really afford. Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting Jeff Hardy could be injured and may require surgery.
He apparently hurt his shoulder and it’s bad enough for WWE to pull him from in-ring action at the moment. It isn’t known exactly when Jeff hurt himself but he was seen clutching his shoulder on Raw this past week so it might have been something that’s been lingering for a bit. After all, he comes from an old school mentality where you wrestle until you can’t anymore.
The 40-year-old sports entertainer has been in the public eye for a long time and he’s been taken some brutal bumps throughout the course of his career. This isn’t the first time he’s been injured but it certainly came at an unfortunate time. As the old saying goes it’s never a good time to get hurt.
It’s unknown at this point whether Brother Nero will need surgery but sources tell PWS it’s an option that’s being considered.
We’ll have more information about this as soon as WWE’s doctors have a chance to look at Jeff and assess the damage. But he didn’t wrestle at Friday night’s house show in Sacramento leaving Matt Hardy to face Karl Anderson in a singles match.
Hopefully, surgery isn’t required. But at this point, it might be a bit of a waiting game for the Charismatic Enigma. Let’s also hope this doesn’t throw a monkey wrench into any plans for a Woken Hardy debut anytime soon.
