This year the Royal Rumble premium live event kicked off with the women’s Royal Rumble match which featured more than a few surprises. Five names from NXT entered women’s Royal Rumble and Roxanne Perez joined the match at number three.
Roxanne Perez managed to go the distance in the women’s Royal Rumble as she was in the match for one hour, seven minutes and forty seven seconds. Charlotte Flair and Roxanne Perez were the final two competitors in the match, but ultimately Charlotte got the victory.
Fightful Select reports that Roxanne Perez is currently on WWE’s radar for a main roster call-up. Although no specific date has been set for the call-up, the word in early January was that Roxanne would be joining the WWE main roster sooner than later. Now it’s being said that following her performance in the Royal Rumble, Perez has been all but confirmed for the call-up.
Roxanne Perez is a former two time NXT Women’s Champion and a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. At this point she has accomplished just about everything there is to accomplish in NXT, and one WWE source noted that from a performance perspective Roxanne has long been ready for the main roster.
