Over the last few years fans have seen a lot of crossovers between AEW, Impact Wrestling, NJPW, NWA and more and recently WWE shocked the world when the company announced that Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James will be competing in this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match.

It seems that the forbidden door has been cracked open on WWE’s end, but at this point in time there’s no telling if we’re going to see any type of crossover beyond a Mickie James appearance at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Either way people are talking about WWE and Impact working together, and recently Impact Wrestling World Champion Moose teased a possible match with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns when he posted the following:

“I Claim to be the Wrestling God. He claims to be The Head of the Table. With all this Forbidden Door talk….. what if 🤔….,,

Last year Kenny Omega managed to defeat Rich Swann to become Impact World Champion while he was also holding the AEW World Championship. Omega held the belt from April until August when he dropped it to Christian Cage who eventually dropped it to Impact’s Josh Alexander at Bound For Glory in October of 2021.

It remains to be seen if WWE would be interested in a similar working relationship with Impact, but it seems that you can never say never.
