CM Punk made his grand return to wrestling when he debuted with AEW in August of 2021, but his run with the company officially came to an end last month. Tony Khan announced that Punk had been fired following a backstage altercation at All In, and the wrestling world has a lot of different opinions when it comes to Punk’s departure.

Eddie Kingston and CM Punk were involved in a heated feud that played out on AEW programming back in 2021 and Kingston hasn’t been shy about letting the world know he’s not fond of Punk.

Recently clips of Eddie Kingston cutting a promo on Punk have been making the rounds once again on social media, and he was asked during an interview with Adrian Hernandez if he felt bad about telling Punk no one wanted him in AEW.

“No. I’m doing my job. That’s how I felt. I didn’t know what anyone else in the locker room felt, I didn’t care. It was how I felt. I didn’t want him there. Me and Punk don’t like each other. That’s fine. You’re not going to like everyone you work with. Do I wish he was still in AEW and I wish it worked out differently? Yeah, because he helped the company. Other than that, I don’t give a f*** what he does. Me and him never got along anyway. We don’t have to be best friends to fight each other. It makes it better when we’re not best friends. I don’t wish him bad, but I don’t wish him good either, because I don’t give a f***. That’s it.”
