Last week CM Punk made headlines when he openly criticized AEW during an interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour. Over the weekend AEW announced that they will be showing backstage footage from last year’s All In pay-per-view on Dynamite this week. The announcement was notable as CM Punk was famously fired after getting into a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the event. Now fans are waiting to see what the footage will show on Wednesday.

Tony Khan recently confirmed during an interview with Sports Illustrated that AEW intends to deliver what they advertise and The Young Bucks will be showing real backstage footage from All In. While Tony Khan remained tight lipped regarding the specific content in the footage he shared some of the reasons why AEW is airing the footage.

“The decision is based on putting on the best show for AEW, as well as driving interest for Dynamite and our Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21. This is real-life footage that affected many people, and it will air for the first time on TBS during Dynamite.”

The Young Bucks will be facing off against FTR in a match for the vacant AEW Tag Team Championship at the Dynasty pay-per-view later this month. While talking about the title match Tony seemed to indicate that the footage will somehow play into the rivalry involving the two teams.

“The Young Bucks are wrestling for the world tag team championship at AEW Dynasty against longtime rivals FTR. Their rivalry is one of the most significant ever in AEW, and there is a good reason why the Young Bucks are showing this video.”

“It’s important that the Young Bucks explain the reason why this is relevant going into Dynasty. It should be another must-see part of a great show on Dynamite.”
