The 2023 WWE Draft kicked off last week on Friday Night SmackDown and the big event continued Monday night on Raw. Some big moves were made and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was the second draft pick during night 1 of the WWE Draft and she was selected for SmackDown.

The Street Profits were also moved from Monday Night Raw to the Friday Night SmackDown brand during night 1 of the draft. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bianca Belair, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins all knew they would be moving to SmackDown before the announcement was made on TV.

The move certainly makes sense for everyone involved as Montez Ford is married to Bianca Belair. There was some speculation among fans on social media that The Street Profits were aware of their big move ahead of time as they showed up ready for action on SmackDown last week dressed in blue.

With Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair getting drafted to SmackDown and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley getting drafted to Raw it will be interesting to see how WWE deals with the title situation moving forward. When faced with a similar situation previously the company had Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch exchange their respective belts, but that didn’t exactly go over all that well, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
