The Undertaker is without a doubt one of the most iconic WWE Superstars of all time, but he officially retired from in-ring competition following the Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.

At WrestleMania 34, The Deadman faced off against Roman Reigns on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and he was defeated by The Big Dog. Roman Reigns was booed heavily by the fans the next night on Raw, but despite the boos WWE didn’t turn him heel.

Last year the company finally pulled the trigger on a heel turn for Roman Reigns, and since then he’s been receiving a lot of praise for his Tribal Chief character. During an interview with Sports Illustrated, The Undertaker said he wishes he had more gas in the tank so he could work with heel Roman Reigns.

“I’m so proud of where he is. The night of Survivor Series [in November], I went up to Roman and Jey and said, ‘This is the most compelling story that we’ve done in a while.’ And where he’s been able to take it, it’s so good. It’s not forced. Roman is hitting on all cylinders.”

“I think he’s a great heel—coldhearted, calculated. There is a compelling backstory and you still feel the tension when Roman appears. Like I said, I’m really proud of him. I wish I had the gas in the tank to work a program with him now. It would definitely be something special.”

If you could see The Undertaker return for one more match who would you want to see him face? Sound off in the comments below.
