The Super Bowl aired live from Caesars Superdome in New Orleans earlier this month and The Undertaker was in attendance for the big event. The Undertaker wasn’t the only name from the wrestling world who was at the Super Bowl as Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Tony Khan were spotted at the game as well.
While talking about his experience attending the Super Bowl on Busted Open Radio, The Undertaker also discussed his relationship with Vince McMahon.
“I was his guest, yeah. Look, I’m gonna get hate for that. Listen, I don’t know. I don’t know. People [say], ‘Oh, you guys are so close you know everything.’ I don’t know what has been done, what hasn’t been done. We don’t talk about those things, right? But he is a friend of mine.
First off, he gave me an opportunity to make something of my life and become something. That is one thing. But through the course of all those years, we became very close friends. I looked at him, after my father passed away, he was a father figure. He was a brother, he was a mentor, and he always treated my family with the utmost respect.
So, I don’t know everything that’s happened, what’s gone on, and I’m not the judge on this case. I’m not the judge. There’s only one judge. That’s the man upstairs. He’s gonna give us all whatever we deserve at the end, and that’s what it is. I think people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. And I think if you really look at your life and people who get off their high horse and their righteousness on social media and everything else…I don’t have to agree with everything that people do. It doesn’t change the fact that I love somebody, and I’m friends with somebody. It doesn’t mean I’m gonna do the same things. But that’s the way it is.
Yeah, I went to the Super Bowl with my friend. He created this incredible experience for me and about, I don’t know, 10 or 11 other people. The game was the s***, but the experience was amazing. And this was the first time that I’ve seen Vince since I was in Saudi Arabia the last time with him, and he was really looking rough and bad right after back surgery. So he looked much better, was healthier, and looked like he was kinda more like the old Vince, and that was good for me to see.
And the rest of it, you know, you don’t have to like me. I don’t give a s***. I’ve got a small, small, inner circle that I give a s*** what people think.”
