The Rock recently returned on WWE Day 1 Raw and he teased a potential match with Roman Reigns. Following the appearance photos of The Rock embracing Cody Rhodes backstage have been making the rounds and the pictures got people talking.
Fightful Select reports that the exchange took place right outside of Gorilla position and it was caught by The Rock’s team and a WWE photographer.
Several people were around to hear the exchange which took place before Rock’s promo, and it’s being said that The Rock showed support to Cody Rhodes and what he’s been doing. People who spoke on the subject noted that the feeling was The Rock wasn’t there to “stand in the way of anything.” However, it took place before The Rock’s promo and most people didn’t know about the Head of the Table line.
The word going around prior to the announcement of The Rock taking a seat on the TKO Board of Directors was that WWE was trying to land him with some sort of deal, but nobody expected the announcement that was made.
