Sasha Banks walked out of Raw back in May and it’s been reported that she’s done with WWE and will be free to take wrestling related bookings after January 1. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion is expected to be at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom soon and fans have wondered if she could be Saraya’s mystery partner for the 1/11 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that if Sasha Banks is joining AEW then it’s a well kept secret. There’s no indication that’s in the plans, but if it is then the company would have to be keeping it secret from almost everyone.
It was also noted that if Sasha Banks showing up in Los Angeles is the plan for the 1/11 show then one would think AEW would be pushing the tag team match the mystery partner even more. However, AEW has gone cold when it comes to mentioning the match on TV.
