You might remember yesterday when we posted a video of one kid holding up a WWE Championship belt during his high school graduation only the be met by a friend who hit him with a Stone Cold Stunner. If you missed it you can check it out in the video above, complete with Jim Ross commentary.
These kids might have reached legendary status on the Internet, but they also lost their diplomas in the process. Local 10 in Miami interviewed Nicholas Dean and Joseph Castro after Miami Southwest High School took their diplomas from them.
This is what they had to say:
“They told us we should be embarrassed and ashamed,” said Dean.
“The administration was ‘very disappointed’ that we had done that,” Castro said.
“It doesn’t look good on them, and I’m sorry about that, but there’s nothing I can do about it now,” Dean said.
Besides the title belt, the students left graduation empty-handed as the school declined to award them their diplomas. The school district said Dean and Castro’s diplomas are being withheld until a meeting with their parents next week. But despite the consequences, it seems the notoriety is making up for it.
The kids went on to mention that it was total worth it and it’s hard to disagree with them.
