It’s been years since The Hardys have competed inside a WWE ring, but the TNA Wrestling Tag Team Champions wrestled on NXT for the first time ever this week when they faced off against Myles Borne & Tavion Heights.
Matt and Jeff Hardy made their return to a massive reaction from the fans in Cincinnati. The crowd chanted “holy s***” and “welcome back” as The Hardys stepped into the ring.
Throughout the match the fans also continuously chanted “you’re not Randy” at Myles Borne. While the two teams were battling inside the ring, Fraxiom set up chairs on the ramp and sat down as they watched the action inside the ring.
Near the end of the match Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate on Myles Borne. The fans went wild as Jeff Hardy connected with the Swanton Bomb then Matt pinned Myles to pick up the win.
After the match Fraxiom got in the ring and Axiom welcomed The Hardy Boyz to NXT. Matt said that he loves NXT so far. He praised Fraxiom as he told them that they’re killing it.
Jeff Hardy challenged Fraxiom to a match to find out who the best tag team in the world is, then Santino Marella interrupted. Santino announced that The Hardy Boyz will defend the TNA Wrestling Tag Team Championship against Fraxiom at Roadblock in two weeks.
Ahead of their return on NXT this week WWE released a new Hardys shirt on WWE Shop. It was recently reported that we could be seeing more appearances from The Hardys on WWE programming in the future, and you can get more on that here.
