When The Hardy Boyz returned at WrestleMania 33, they won the Raw Tag Team Titles by winning an epic ladder match. The brothers later successfully defended the belts against Cesaro and Sheamus at Payback, and the Swiss Superman and Celtic Warrior turned heel and delivered a swift beat down to the brothers after the match.

The Hardys defended the Raw Tag Team Titles against Cesaro and Sheamus once again at Extreme Rules, and they lost the belts after they failed to win a steel cage match. Most fans assumed that Matt and Jeff Hardy would get their rematch at Great Balls of Fire in July, but WWE has decided to feature the title defense on this week’s episode of Raw instead.
Tonight’s title match won’t just be a standard tag team match, as WWE has announced that Cesaro and Sheamus will defend the Raw Tag Team Titles in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match.

It’s also been confirmed that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be kicking off tonight’s show.
