Becky Lynch fought for years to make it the top of the card, and in 2019 she became one of the first women in history to main event WrestleMania.

Lynch remained one of the top stars in WWE in 2020, and a few months ago she relinquished the Raw Women’s Championship after announcing her pregnancy.

Throughout Becky Lynch’s rise to stardom she referred to herself as The Man, and Stephanie McMahon recently told Digital Spy that some people in WWE were opposed to the nickname.

“(‘The Man) really was was her idea. It’s funny because some women were very against it like, ‘Why do you have to call yourself the man? Why can’t you be The Woman.'”

“But she just didn’t take it, you know, too literally. The whole point was to turn that nomenclature on its ear, right, because everyone says, ‘oh the biggest, the most successful person in the room is The Man. Well, why can’t The Man be a woman?”

In the end everything worked out, and Becky Lynch when on to call herself The Man for the majority of her main event run.

The Man is expected to give birth in December. There’s currently no timeline for her return.
