This is the report from fans in attendance as to what was taped for tonight’s TNA Impact broadcast on PopTV. TNA is experiencing a new era so to speak currently as they are fresh off of a new acquisition by Anthem Sports.
– The show kicks off with Aron Rex and Rockstar Spud debuting their new gimmick in an in-ring promo. Rex (formerly WWE’s Damien Sandow) is debuting a new Liberace inspired gimmick (sans flashy grand piano) with Spud playing a ‘manservant’ character complete with chauffeur hat. Apparently this is a gimmick that he tried to pitch to WWE several times in the past, but they never went for it.
– Braxton Sutter pins Michael Bennett
– Next is a segment which will set up a female Monster’s Ball match between Jade and the TNA Knockouts champion, Rosemary.
– Aron Rex and Rockstar Spud defeat Swoggle (formerlly WWE’s Hornswoggle) and Robbie E in a short encounter
– Decay defeats DCC’s Bram and Kingston. The match ends in a DQ when James Storm hits Abyss over the head with a beer bottle.
– The main event features the Hardys defeating The Wolves. This is a non-title match, but it was said to be by far the match of the night.
