Back in May Otis managed to win the Money in the Bank contract, but unfortunately for Otis he lost the contract to The Miz last month at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
Now fans are waiting to see when the former WWE Champion will cash in, but Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Miz got the contract because WWE officials wanted someone to hold onto it until next year.
At this point in time it’s not clear why Otis couldn’t have just held onto the contract until next year.
Obviously 2020 is still not over, but it seems that The Miz is not expected to cash in his Money in the Bank contract until 2021. It’s unclear if Miz will actually end up winning the title, or if his second cash-in will be unsuccessful.
Follow Drew McIntyre’s big title win on Raw The Miz sent the following message to the WWE Champion:
I don’t know whether to congratulate or feel sorry for @DMcIntyreWWE for winning the @wwe Championship last night. One thing is for sure I do love a good game of hot potato especially when the potato is a WWE Title and I have the key to winning the game. #MITB pic.twitter.com/dU5fkjsmy8
