The next premium live event on WWE’s calendar is Night of Champions, and after that all eyes will be looking ahead to SummerSlam. The show will once again be a two night event this year and it’s set to emanate from Minneapolis.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill has been pitched internally for the SummerSlam premium live event in August. It was noted that at one point the match was penciled in for the show.
Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill has been teased ever since Jade signed with WWE, and sources have indicated that WWE has been waiting for the right time and stage to present the match. The belief is that SummerSlam is the right stage for Charlotte and Jade to face off in a one on one match for the first time.
It was also noted that while plans can always change, the feeling internally is that the time is now for WWE to move forward with plans for Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill.
In recent weeks tension has been building between Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill as Jade took out Charlotte’s tag team partner Alexa Bliss when she hit Bliss with Jaded on top of a steel chair.
