The Miz and John Morrison have been working closely as a tag team ever since John Morrison made his return to WWE programming, but recently it was teased that there’s tension between Miz and Morrison.

It seemed that WWE was teasing a split for the former champions this week on Monday Night Raw, but it doesn’t look like WWE is ready to pull the trigger just yet.

During a backstage segment on Raw this week Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods appeared behind The Miz and Morrison holding up a sign that said “buy our shirts” and Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the tease was the beginning of a feud with The New Day.

“That is the program that they’re going to [New Day vs Miz/Morrison],” said Meltzer. “They were running around in the back. Miz and Morrison were doing the promo, and Kofi and Xavier are like behind them and it’s supposed to be like ‘Oh, they got caught on camera when they were hanging around.’ They had a thing up that said ‘buy our shirts’ and things like that. It’s like the beginning of something, yeah.”

During the first episode of Moist TV on Raw this week John Morrison expressed that he was unhappy with The Miz who was seemingly faking an injury while Morrison pushed him around in a wheelchair. Only time will tell how much longer the team lasts.
