Between NXT, Raw and SmackDown the WWE roster is massive, and you never know when a NXT star could get called up.
Fans have been seeing a lot of appearances from NXT stars on Raw and SmackDown over the last few months, and now it looks like another name is main roster bound.
It was recently reported that Matt Riddle is getting called up, and plans call for him to join the SmackDown brand.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Riddle could be joining SmackDown as soon as the 5/29 show. Riddle was at the Performance Center as a talent on 5/25, and SmackDown was taped that night.
It’s being reported that Matt Riddle taped a vignette which was set to air on 5/29 at last word, although that could change.
Matt Riddle’s match with Timothy Thatcher as meant to be his blow off for NXT, and SmackDown is meant to be a new start for him.
