Impact Wrestling recently returned to the Impact Zone to tape several episodes of their weekly TV series. Spike TV Senior Vice President and Executive Producer Scott Fishman was backstage for the tapings on Sunday and it was later reported that he was talking to Jeff Jarrett about Impact possibly returning to Spike TV in the US, but apparently that’s not the case.
1) Despite a report, @Spike officials have told me that the network is not bringing @IMPACTWRESTLING back to the network.

According to Brian Fritz of Sporting News, Spike TV officials have told him that they will not be bringing Impact Wrestling back to the network. Fritz referenced the previous report and then noted that he was told Fishman was there for personal reasons.

Fishman has apparently been making somewhat regular visits to the Impact Zone over the past few months.
5) Jason Powell of @prowrestlingnet has reported for months that Fishman has been backstage at various @IMPACTWRESTLING tapings.

6) However, each time he was there visiting friends and not working on any business deals. Fishman lives in the Central Florida area.

He was also quick to point out that Scott Fishman lives in the area and he has a long history with the promotion.
7) Of course, @IMPACTWRESTLING tapes their shows at Universal Studios, also in central FL so it’s not far from where Fishman lives.

8) Fishman has plenty of friends with @IMPACTWRESTLING considering that the promotion aired on @spike for over nine years.
— Brian Fritz (@BrianFritz) March 6, 2017
However, fans who were getting their hopes up in regards to a possible return to Spike TV for Impact Wrestling are sure to be disappointed, because it doesn’t look like Impact will be making the jump anytime soon.
9) So, despite making a deal with Spike in the UK, they are not negotiating a return in the US.

As for Impact Wrestling’s current deal with Pop TV, it doesn’t expire until the end of this year.
10) Impact’s current television deal with @PopTV expires late in 2017.
