Shawn Michaels officially retired from in-ring competition in 2010 after he was defeated by The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26, and for years he remained adamant that he would be stepping back into the ring.
However, things changed in 2018, and the Hall of Famer ended up coming out of retirement when he teamed up with Triple H to face the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
There’s certainly no shortage of people who would like to face off against HBK and it was recently reported that Kevin Owens pitched a match with Shawn Michaels. During a recent appearance on Culture State, Shawn Michaels addressed the possibility of an in-ring return and he indicated that it won’t be happening.
“I’ve had that final match. No, no. Father time waits on no man. I’m good. I’m unbelievably happy with my career and it is now time to watch the next generation flourish.”
