For many years Shawn Michaels was known to wrestling fans as Mr. WrestleMania, but his career came to an end when he was defeated by The Undertaker in a Streak vs. Career match at WrestleMania 26.

HBK remained adamant for some time that he would never come out of retirement, but in 2018 he returned to the ring when he teamed up with Triple H to face Kane and The Undertaker at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

The match wasn’t exactly well received, and during an interview with the New York Post Shawn Michaels confirmed that he has some regrets about returning to the ring.

“I do. I had no idea that from Mark’s standpoint he was looking at it as that might be one he could walk away on.”

“For me it was [fun]. It was just a chance to be with my buddies.” Michaels noted that as far as he’s concerned the match “lives in a separate world to me.”

“All I can do is apologize to the guys,” he added.
