Seth Rollins spent months feuding with Triple H, and weeks before they were set to face off at WrestleMania 33, Seth Rollins re-injured his knee. The Architect was able to compete at WrestleMania, and he defeated Triple H in an unsanctioned match.
WWE announced that we would learn the fate of Seth Rollins this week on Raw, and Rollins made his way to the ring to cut a heartfelt promo.
He said he put everything he had into getting ready for WrestleMania, so he couldn’t afford to think about what would happen after WrestleMania. Rollins told the fans that he was physically messed up after his match with Triple H, but mentally and emotionally, he was at peace because he left it all in the ring, and he beat Triple H.
Rollins told the fans that he just wanted to step back and take the opportunity to thank the WWE Universe from the bottom of his heart for giving him a second chance and having his back. Seth said WrestleMania is not the finish line, he’s just getting started on Monday Night Raw, and he’s got some scores to settle. He name dropped Samoa Joe and said he wants to get his hands on the Universal Title.
Seth Rollins showed a clip of Stephanie McMahon going through a table at WrestleMania, and he said that he probably won’t be getting the opportunities he wants.
He said it’s probably best for him to pack up his bags and move to SmackDown, but he took the easy road before and that’s not who he is. He challenged Stephanie to drag him out of the arena and said he’s not leaving without a fight. Then Kurt Angle’s music hit.
Angle said it’s true, Stephanie wants him gone, but he saw something in Rollins at WrestleMania that he had never seen before. Kurt Angle said as long as he’s General Manager, Seth has a home on Monday Night Raw and they shook hands.
Samoa Joe then attacked Seth from behind, and Kurt Angle tried to break it up, but the brawl was too intense. Seth Rollins managed to superkick Joe out of the ring to end the segment.
