Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have a long history. At times they’ve been allies, but over the years they’ve become bitter rivals. The two former Shield members crossed paths in the Royal Rumble this year, and they were both eliminated by CM Punk.
During a recent appearance on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Seth Rollins was asked whether he hates CM Punk, or Roman Reigns more. The Visionary had a surprising answer as he said that he loves Roman Reigns, and any issues between the two of them are rooted in love. On the other hand Rollins doubled down on his hatred for CM Punk.
“CM Punk, no question. I love Roman Reigns. Let’s get that clear, I love him. We came into the industry together, so this is what he’s talking about with stories. Roman and I broke into WWE together back in 2012. We came in as a trio. The other guy he’s gone right now, but Roman and I have stuck around in WWE, and we’ve both risen from the very bottom of WWE, to the very top of WWE.”
“Now Roman’s a different guy. He’s living in his own space, he’s got this kind of narcissistic complex, this god complex going on, and I got a lot of ill will towards him because we haven’t seen eye to eye for some time. But, it’s rooted in love. Thin line between love and hate. I want the best for him. CM Punk – I want the worst for him.”
After he and Roman were eliminated from the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins took Roman out when he hit him with the stomp on the steel ring steps. It was announced on the following night on Raw that Reigns will be out for the foreseeable future. As of right now it’s rumored that Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and CM Punk could be facing off in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41.
