It was announced a few weeks ago that Seth Rollins would be challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in St. Louis, and on Saturday night they clashed.
Recently Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have been taking shots at one another on WWE programming, and fans noticed that this week on Friday Night SmackDown Seth got in Roman’s head when he mentioned the breakup of The Shield.
Rollins continued to play games with Roman Reigns on Saturday when he entered to The Shield’s entrance music at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Seth Rollins also made his way out for the match dressed in riot gear. T
It’s interesting to note that while talking about their history with The Shield WWE commentator Pat McAfee mentioned all three members including “Mox.” The entrance got a huge reaction from the crowd, and Reigns looked noticeably shook as he reacted to Rollins playing mind games.
Throughout the match Seth Rollins continued to reference The Shield, and he even hit a Shield Bomb through the announce table. This match is ongoing. Stay tuned for updates.
