Shane McMahon is back and he’s running Monday Night Raw for the second week in a row. Shane came out to the ring and he promised new stars and fresh match ups for this week’s show. He wasn’t kidding because he announced a one on one match featuring AJ Styles facing Sami Zayn and he also announced a huge stipulation for the contest.
Shane announced that if Sami Zayn won the match, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback would become a triple threat match with Sami Zayn facing AJ Styles and Roman Reigns.
As soon as Shane made the announcement Kevin Owens came out and told him he wants a rematch for his Intercontinental Championship that he lost at WrestleMania 32. Shane McMahon told him that he could have his shot and he can have the shot tonight if Kevin Owens beats Cesaro. The winner of Cesaro vs Kevin Owens will face The Miz, but if Owens fails to beat Cesaro, then Cesaro will get the IC Title shot, and the match is starting… Right now!
