After years of working in the professional wrestling industry Sami Zayn finally achieved his dream of winning the Undisputed WWE Championship when he pinned Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions. Sami was clearly thrilled to finally win the title, but his reign has already come to an end.
Sami was supposed to defend the title against Cody Rhodes on Raw this week. However, Cody was written out of the match after Gunther powerbombed him through a table, and slammed a car door on him at the beginning of the show. CM Punk then returned and competed in his first match since April when he challenged Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and won the belt in the Raw main event.
CM Punk’s big title win got the wrestling world talking, and WWE has now shared video footage showing Sami Zayn going off on CM Punk immediately after he lost the belt.
“I have a question – how is it that after 24 years of crawling, and inching for every little inch to get the WWE Championship, after I finally get it, nine days after I get it, that piece of s**t can walk back in here, after not being here for months, for months, and walk right in and get it? That motherf****r, he has no business, no business!”
It was recently reported that WWE is planning to book CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event, so it will be interesting to see where Sami goes from here.
