Sami Zayn has been with WWE for over a decade now and he’s become one of the most popular stars in the company. Zayn’s WWE run started with a humble beginning as he worked hard to make a name for himself in NXT before he was called up to the main roster.
During his NXT run Sami Zayn faced off against Cesaro in a 2 out of 3 falls match that received a lot of praise at the time. Sami Zayn recently reflected on the 10 year anniversary of the match, and he claimed that it changed the industry when he posted the following:
“At this risk of sounding dramatic or arrogant, this one match changed the industry. This was the day NXT became ‘a thing.’ Hard to explain the significance/context/landscape at that time, but suffice to say it’s one of my proudest matches, with one of my all-time best opponents.”
