At WrestleMania 32 this year Ryback challenged Kalisto for the U.S. Title but in the end he lost his match and walked away empty handed. Ryback’s match again Kalisto was featured early on the kickoff show and Ryback was left off of the main card once again.

Ryback recently spoke to Dubai radio personality Myles and he expressed some frustration over the fact that his match was bumped to the kickoff show. He was asked if he felt that he had a magic WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania 32 and he gave an honest answer.

“To be quite honest, absolutely not. The last 3 WrestleManias have not been great. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on that, but it would’ve been nice to have been on the show where both of us belong. The US Title definitely belongs on there. Hopefully next year, if there is a next year, that it will be a better experience.”

He went on to say that he will continue to work hard and that WrestleMania 33 will hopefully be a different story. Myles also asked him how hard it is to get that main event spot and Ryback talked about how hard work sometimes doesn’t pay off in wrestling.

“I’ve heard in this business hard work doesn’t always pay off. Maybe The Big Guy has to go find another world where that does pay off. But you work really, really hard at something and you dedicate yourself, and you sometimes have to be told you’re somewhere else. That’s a tough pill to swallow time and time again but I’ve never stopped believing in myself and I never will. Next year should undoubtedly be a big year for The Big Guy.”
