Earlier today Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that King Barrett will be leaving WWE in June when his contract ends. Barrett apparently wants to leave because he’s unhappy with his role in the company.
After the report hit the Internet Ryback took it upon himself to call “dibs” and King Barrett’s Wasteland maneuver and his Mule Kick.

Barrett and Ryback worked together as part of the Nexus when Ryback was going by the name Skip Sheffield fresh out of NXT. Their association wouldn’t last long however as Ryback broke his ankle in August of 2011. He wrestled a match at a house show in December of that year before debuting his new Ryback gimmick in April of 2012.
