rusev

It’s been a while since fans have seen Rusev on WWE programming. He underwent surgery a few months ago, and he’s been teasing his return on social media, and this week the Bulgarian Brute finally made his return.

WWE has been hyping up the return of John Cena for weeks now, and the 16 time WWE World Champion kicked off this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. Cena made his way down to the ring and told the fans that he’s far from done, and he called out all the biggest stars on Raw and SmackDown and said that he will knock them all down.

Rusev made a point to interrupt John Cena, and he wondered why the company didn’t promote his return. The Bulgarian Brute ripped on America and the Fourth of July, and he got some major heat for talking trash about the USA.

John Cena challenged him to a flag match, but Rusev declined and walked away. Cena held his arms in the air as his music hit to end the segment.

It’s definitely nice that Rusev is back, but the fact that he walked away from the flag match made his return a little anticlimactic. Perhaps Daniel Bryan will book the match for later in the show. Stay tuned.

UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar is making the jump to professional wrestling, and on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio we’re talking all about it. Bonnar is teaming up with Phil Baroni to form a tag team called The Real Shooters and they’ll be wrestling their first match in just a few weeks.
