Last week the WWE Superstar Shake-Up took place and some big moves were made. Samoa Joe has been on Raw ever since he debuted on the main roster, but the Samoan Submission Machine is now part of the blue brand.
Joe’s move to SmackDown Live has opened up the door for many new feuds, but it looks like WWE officials may have decided to have him switch brands in order to avoid one specific feud on Raw.
PW Stream is reporting that Joe was moved to SmackDown so that he will be able to avoid Roman Reigns.
Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns are set to fight at Backlash, but with Reigns being set to run Raw, the idea was to move Joe to SmackDown so he can have a bigger role.
Per source: Samoa Joe moved to #SDLive to avoid Reigns. The two will have a match soon, however following that, Reigns, as expected, will be running #Raw. As such, Joe wouldn’t be a pivotal part of the show. WWE want him to play a big role — he wouldn’t be on Raw, hence the move.

The week before the Superstar Shake-Up, several NXT stars were called up to the main roster during the Raw after WrestleMania.
Ember Moon was one of those stars, and Booker T recently took to Twitter to congratulate her.
