Mercedes Mone has been one of the top stars in professional wrestling for some time now, and she’s always a hot topic among wrestling fans. The current TBS Champion rarely loses when she steps into the ring which has led to rumors of Mercedes having creative control.
Fightful Select reports that they reached out to sources in AEW and NJPW who both denied that Mercedes Mone has exercised creative control in order to make sure she wins matches. It was also noted that they said they’ve never heard of Mercedes having creative control.
A source familiar with both companies reportedly said, “she hasn’t turned down losing, because losing hasn’t even been broached. Both companies had plans to push her heavily.”
Another source pointed out that Mercedes Mone previously changed the finish for her match with Willow Nightingale in NJPW on the fly so that she would lose because she knew she had sustained an injury.
