Ronda Rousey returned to WWE earlier this year and she is once again at the top of the women’s division on Friday Night SmackDown. Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a “I Quit” match at WrestleMania Backlash a few weeks ago, and it was Ronda Rousey who walked out with the gold.
During a recent livestream on Facebook the current SmackDown Women’s Champion discussed the match while noting that she originally wanted to get Drew Gulak involved.
“It’s funny, I pitched him (Drew Gulak) getting involved, getting thwacked… I pitched him getting involved for the ‘I Quit’ match (at WrestleMania Backlash). Like running into him and thwacking (him).”
Ronda Rousey successfully defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez on the May 13th episode of SmackDown. It’s not clear when she will be defending her title again. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
