CM Punk worked hard to reach the top of WWE and he seemingly cemented his legacy with a 434 day WWE Title reign. However, Punk parted ways with WWE in 2014 and he made some interesting comments about his run with the company. CM Punk is now once again part of the WWE roster as he returned to the company back in November of 2023. However, he’s currently out of action due to a tricep injury he suffered during the 30 man Royal Rumble match in January.

Now that Roman Reigns and CM Punk are on the same roster once again fans are wondering if they could face off at some point, and Roman got people talking when he referenced Punk during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

At one point Roman was asked how he fends off the boredom knowing that he’s likely going to be able to take down any opponent. The fans started chanting for CM Punk and Roman seemingly mocked Punk when he grabbed his arm then pretended to be injured while making a pouty face.

The Tribal Chief was then asked how he stays focused and he said, “I’m living my dream man. Like, this is what I wanted my whole life. So, I’m not one of them people that once I got there it just wasn’t what I expected. I’m not like CM Punk where I got to the top of the mountain and it’s like, ‘Oh it’s not what I expect, so I’m a b***h about it.”

Right now Roman Reigns is focused on Cody Rhodes as he’s currently set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The American Nightmare at WrestleMania next month. CM Punk’s return is still months away, but it will be interesting to see how things play out if Punk and Roman Reigns do eventually come face to face on WWE programming.
