Fans have been seeing a lot less of Roman Reigns on WWE programming over the last few years, and it’s no big secret that The Tribal Chief is looking to make the jump to Hollywood sooner than later.
Recently Deadline reported that Reigns is in talks to star in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, but the report did not reveal any details regarding which character Roman Reigns could play in the film.
Jeff Sneider is now reporting that Roman Reigns is in talks to play Akuma in the Street Fighter film. Akuma is the younger brother of Gouken who trained Ryu and Ken. It’s also being reported that Andrew Koji is set to play Ryu with Noah Centineo lined up for the role of Ken. Kitao Sakurai is attached as the director and Dalan Musson is writing the script for the film.

Roman Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41. As of this writing WWE has yet to reveal when Roman Reigns will return to television, but he is featured on the poster for the SummerSlam premium live event in August.
Stay tuned for updates.
