Roman Reigns stepped up to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 and on Sunday night, and The Tribal Chief picked up the win over The Second City Saint to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Following his big victory over CM Punk at WrestleMania 42, there’s been a lot of speculation when it comes to what’s next for Roman Reigns, and a potential match with Oba Femi is being heavily teased.
During the WrestleMania 42 post-show Oba Femi was asked about his future plans and he teased a potential match with Roman Reigns when he said, “I think tomorrow is a celebration. I think in the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. And I think at the end of the year, the OTC can get some!”
When Roman Reigns was asked that the future holds for him during the WrestleMania post-show the fans chanted “Oba’s gonna kill you,” and Roman couldn’t help but react. The Tribal Chief looked into the camera and addressed Oba Femi when he said, “Oba, you gonna kill me? You seem still a little fresh in this business. You did a big thing tonight, but I’ve done that many times, and I done it with the title on the line. I took it, I defended it. Let’s see how you do through the summer. Let’s see how you do, and then we’ll know if you can step to the greatest of all time.”
Before the post-show ended Roman Reigns teased that he will be full-time with WWE moving forward when he announced, “All this part time cr*p? We’re gonna fix that. Y’all better make some room, cause my a** gonna be here all summer.”
