It’s certainly not uncommon for WWE stars to make the jump to Hollywood. Names like The Rock, John Cena, Dave Bautista and more have found success in the acting world, and now it seems that Roman Reigns could be joining a recognizable franchise.
Deadline is reporting that Roman Reigns is in talks to star in Legendary’s live action Street Fighter movie which is based on the popular Capcom video game franchise. Other notable names who are also in talks for the film include Andrew Koji (Bullet Train), Jason Momoa (A Minecraft Movie), and Noah Centineo (Warfare).
Kitao Sakurai joined the project as the director back in February, and the film is being co-developed and co-produced alongside Capcom. At this point in time there’s no word on plot details, and details regarding writers for the project are unknown.
As of this writing it’s not clear what role Roman Reigns is in talks for. Roman Reigns has previously appeared in films such as Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and The Wrong Missy. Reigns also has a role in The Pickup which is currently in post-production.
Roman Reigns last appeared on WWE programming during the Raw after WrestleMania 41 back in April. WWE has yet to announce when The Tribal Chief will be making his return to television.
Stay tuned for updates.
